Christmas Day

We spread out opening our presents this year, and it was so fun. We did not finish until 6pm.

Tim got drum sticks and a practice pad. I must say that I was beginning to regret that he opened these in the morning and not at the evening session. Every box we opened became part of his drum set, and he insisted on doing an intro before each gift was opened.

This Fire Pit was a great family gift from Tim.

This was by far the favorite gift this year. Mason and Mallory have already spent hours playing it. I was thinking that since it is played on the computer it would not be the greatest. I was wrong!

The day after Christmas we roasted hotdogs and s'mores. It was a good thing we had that fire going since the weather was a chilly 70 degrees!

Christmas Eve

We had a super fun Christmas Eve.

Mason and Mallory always open their presents from each other on Christmas Eve. Mal got Mason a first aid kit and a fire striker. These are very exciting presents for a Boy Scout! Mason got Mal a charm for her bracelet. It was a "Two Peas in a Pod" charm to represent them. Isn't that so sweet?
We went to the Christmas Eve service at church.

After the service we went to our traditional Christmas Eve restaurant - Pappadeaux. Mom and I had some very yummy salmon. We ended the night the same way we do every year. We ate popcorn and watched "It's a Wonderful Life."

Tim's head

I thought the sisters would want to know that Tim got two cysts removed from his head. You can kind of see the stitches from one of them. Listen to what a great husband he is - I asked him to ask the doctor if he could bring one of them home for us to look at and HE DID!! I would say that would not happen in just any marriage! After the doctor told him that was disgusting, he put it in formaldehyde and gave it to Tim. It was very interesting.

Field Trip

Today Mom and the kids and I went to the "Log Cabin Village: A Living Historical Museum". It had cabins 150 years old that were moved here from other locations. There were people dressed in authentic clothes in the cabins and they told us cool facts about that time period.
