Great Saturday!

Here are the kiddos on all of the rocking horses. Toby has quite an arm and yes- we think he'll be a lefty!
This reminds me of mom- when she used to soak her feet! After the girls soaked feet, Shelby surprised AK with lotion and a massage for her feet!

Faith's 7th Birthday

Lainie came and surprised us!!!! Here she is, playing Hullabalo with the kids at the party!
Faith called each girl up to sit on the fireplace with her when she opened her presents- there were 11 girls total, including Faith.

Here we are, making paper flowers..then they put marbles in an acrylic box as their vase. I had many good helpers (Ryan, Mom, Jodi, and Linda)
Ryan decorated this (Linda made it b/c I was sick)- Ryan had it beautiful, nice on the edges, then I suggested to just keep it in the oven (cooled) so it wouldn't get messed up covering it up, then I proceeded to turn the oven on today to preheat it for lunch-ugh!! Luckily, the cookie didn't burn, but the icing didn't look the same!
Faith, talking to Kelly, as she opened her present!
Faith holding the bear from Julie, and as I am posting these pictures, Lainie is reading the book that went along with it!! Thanks to all of you for Faith's gifts. We love you all!!!

Wintery Weather.....brrrr...........

Okay, so we really did get a "Wintry Mix" as the weather report called it. Friday we had snow and freezing rain/sleet all day, and then woke up to this- an icy winter wonderland on Saturday.
Our driveway is all ice, and the snow is "crunchy" with the top layer icy, and about 1/2 foot of soft snow underneath. Activities were cancelled for us Thurs eve, Fri and Sat morning TKD. Church is cancelled for Sunday, probably because I don't think it's going to get above freezing until late Sunday!

We did a little sledding down the driveway, it was windy and VERY cold, but we had fun anyway! In one of the sledding videos, it's me on the sled, holding the camera:)
Oh, and here is a video of the "Surprise Breakfast" Thomas put together this morning- it was a surprise to me, as he was fixing it when Corbin and I were out "unfreezing" the horses' water bucket!

The day we have all been waiting for......

Toby officially took his first steps earlier today! I tried to get it later on video and he didn't do as great as before (his legs must have been SOOO tired from having to actually be used!) We are all very excited that he won't need "some help" (like from an Occupational Therapist) as the pediatrician mentioned!
Please girls- don't go to your mirror and compare yourself to your beautiful sister in this post- no one can compete with my looks today! Still in my pj's with yesterday's hair!
Toby's 1st sucker! Of course he bit off the end of the stick before the sucker was gone, but Daddy-O was there to retrieve it!

fun pics

I have these hearts hanging on a plastic tree in the girls' bathroom..Faith decided to add them to her play earrings!
Of course Faith wanted Hannah to have some...Hannah was more concerned with putting them on her bear!

Volleyball

Thought this was a good photo someone from the school district took at Lane's volleyball tournament! We've had a good week. Jake brought home an abstinence contract and abstinence commitment card from a special class at school, and his homeroom is reading "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" together. On another note, Jake made a little stir in music class, but thankfully it went his way. Someone was having some very significant gastric problems (and showing off at the same time). So, another child raised his hand and asked the music teacher to spray Lysol. She asked why, so Jake had to answer, of course. He said, "Because someone (and Jake points to the offender) won't stop _arting!" He actually said that word to the teacher!!!! The teacher told Cody the next time he _arted (she used the word, too!) that he was out of there!

Fort Worth Stock Show

Yesterday we went to the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. We had a blast and the girls got to pet and learn about lots of animals. This goat hollered out when he was being tagged and it sounded just like a child screaming.
Sweet Hannah watching the goats.
Ouch is all I have to say about the picture below! But the piglets were so cute!
Haircut time?
Elsie the Borden Cow
Shelby was totally in Heaven all day!
John Deere boy
This lady was so great! Her horse was back in a stall for show horses and she took all the kids back there and let them pet, sit on, and learn all about "Johnny"

The look of pure joy!
3 day old goat
We talked to a lot of the animal owners about how they show their animals. They were all very friendly and helpful.
This baby calf had just gotten a hair cut.
Milking time- seriously this is the biggest cow I have ever seen!
You don't even want to know all the stuff we use that is made out of some part of the pig!
Learning about cotton.

The HUGEST rabbit!

Sibling love and other stuff!

The girls were watching an old VBS and Toby was crawling all over them- I love it! He even reached for Shelbs instead of me to get him out of his crib after his nap! Yes- it is after lunch and we are still in pjs. We have family pictures at 5pm- why get dressed now?
Eating a Cheeto and an M & M!! After his lunch of course!

My sweet boy in his favorite place- sister's room!
The girls were taking pictures and AK took one of me watching Glenn Beck!
The girls had a sleep-over with their dolls last night. Abby Kate said that it felt so much like a real sleep-over that she had trouble going to sleep! At least Mark and I didn't have to send the dolls home b/c they were too loud! :) This is the dolls eating their breakfast.
It was Abby Kate's doll's birthday and this is a thank you note for a gift she received.
