Tennessee- Our New Home

Sweet Sisters,

While I take a short brake from unpacking, I want to thank you for your prayers and encouraging phone calls, and request continued prayers as we continue to adjust to our new surroundings, and seek a home church and homeschool group. I miss you all, love you tremendously, and can't wait to see each of you in the coming months!!

Tennesse sure is beautiful!

Andrew's "trash" wheelbarrow, so he doesn't have to push the trash can down the driveway after it's been filled and is heavy, he can just take small loads down every few days:)

Shelby had to color these pictures of her mom and dad for school. Please notice the detail: Mark's weird facial hair thing he is sporting now (I told him he looks Amish, but he still won't ditch it!), my highlights, and my red spot! Way to pay attention to our finest features Hoobie!

Jake Shadows a Vet

I watched from afar. Jake watched EVERYTHING during the surgery...she laid out all of the removed parts for him to examine up close!

A dog with a liver disorder.

Jake rubbed this dog's face as he was euthanized. He got into antifreeze and was having seizures - we saw his last seizure before he passed away.

Dr. Battershell is a 2nd-degree black belt - we know her from TKD. Jake was assigned a GT project: Pick a career you'd like to consider, interview someone in that career, and shadow them for 1/2-day if possible. Jake said it was one of the best mornings of his life! There are several photos that were too graphic to post - one of a dog burned in a house fire in which the owner died. Jake loved and loved on that poor dog.

Tea Party

We had a great time at the Fort Bend County Tea Party that was held in Sugar Land Town Center at the steps of City Hall.

Even though the event started at 6:oo, we got there at 3:00 to help get things ready. It was so much fun to be a part of the excitement!

We certainly hope that our government will start listening to the people it was elected to serve, and stop the wasteful spending!
