We went to a Passover Seder on Saturday night. We have been before, and it is always a great experience. In one part of the Seder, we dipped parsley in salt water and ate it to symbolize the bitter tears of the Israelites in bondage.
In the first video we are putting the horseradish mixture on the matza to represent our sins. It is a very strong, horrible taste. We were to focus on the fact that our sin is horrible and offensive to God. If you turn up your volume, you will be able to hear the speaker.
A full cup is a symbol of joy. We were reminded of the plagues, which brought trouble. We can't have full joy during suffering, so we took juice out of our cups for each plague.

Very powerful. Julie
we went to one last year (or maybe the year before) and it was really neat to understand the symbolism. one thing i remember too is how much juice we had the drink! i imagine people were very "sleepy" after the passover meal!
