Mallory's 12th Birthday

We started the day by going out for Kolaches.Mal wanted to have chef salads for lunch.

She prefers her cake with no icing - strange, but true.

In carrying on the tradition he started when Mal was 1 year old, Tim brought her 12 roses for her 12th birthday.

Last year - 11 roses......

Two years ago - 10 roses........

Three years ago - 9 roses...........

Volcano

The girls brought these volcanos home from Bible class. We added "Hope" "Joy" and "Peace" and then watched "Love" overflow.

Field Trip 11-2

We went to a small museum/wildlife/nature place today...beautiful day...this is a wallabo (sp?) smaller than a kangaroo...but does same things!
They had these life-sized dinosaurs along this walking path...this one was lying down on its stomach, so you could get on it...Mal- this is what the girls were sitting on when we talked to you today....
How's that for a scared face?
Of course, I had to go on a hike on one of the trails there....such a beautiful day! My girls, I told them that since we paid to come out here, we were going to make it worth it!!!

A Wonderful Day

Boys perched in the back of the truck while Lane shined a spotlight on surrounding land. Luke got his first rabbit! The best part: Listening to Luke and Jake talk to eachother while we drove along.
This lease is at the Santa Rosa Ranch about 1 hour, 15 min. from Odessa.
Pecos River
Imperial Reservoir - the cranes were beautiful!
This was a special day, just the four of us.

Hunting Trip

Saturday at Santa Rosa Ranch

B-day, Schmidlaps, and ummmm... I was right....

Toby eating his birthday breakfast. We went to the Schmidlaps all day yesterday and the girls held the dogs the entire time!

They thought they were in heaven- they watched 2 movies in the movie room with popcorn and 2 little dogs to snuggle- what could be better than that?Of course the rabbit was entertaining too. Toby wasn't so sure about all the animals. He wasn't a huge fan- especially of the licking dog.Ok, now I am a VERY humble person and so I don't feel the need to prove others wrong, HOWEVER, I have a sister who will remain nameless that thinks that I believe some silly things. For example, that chewing gum makes me have to go potty. My newest thing I told her was that when I take a shower and rinse my face, water gets in my eyes and goes into my nose from my eyes. To put it kindly, so scoffed at me! So, since I was at an eye doctor's house, I thought I'd ask. I will just say Nasolacrimal Duct and leave it at that....By the way, the Schmidlaps don't buy the gum and potty theory! :)
